Mark the visible faces first
A display part may have a prominent front face, hidden interfaces and an underside that is rarely seen. Mark those areas before quotation so surface work follows the presentation need. Explain whether visitors may handle it or whether it will sit behind a cover.
Define the finish through references: colour, degree of sheen, visible seams, labels and the viewing distance. A verbal request for a “smooth” part leaves too much open to interpretation.

Approve a representative finish
Keep functional interfaces in the review
Ask how the proposed surface and assembly work affects the dimensions that matter. If a part must mate with another component, identify the interface and inspection requirement separately from its appearance. Cosmetic work is not evidence of a material’s performance under load, heat or chemical exposure.
The exact finish options and compatibility depend on the selected material and process. The quotation should name the agreed treatment, appearance target, excluded surfaces and any sample approval. This guide is a specification worksheet, not a coating recipe or a claim that every finish is offered.
Use photographs for what they actually show
The parts and model gallery can help you describe visible shapes, assembly arrangements and presentation goals. A photograph does not establish the underlying material, dimensions or coating system. Provide a reference for your desired result and ask what is feasible for the actual file.
